Bespoke Crate Making
Our team manufacture a wide range of packing cases and crates to protect the most fragile items. They are constructed in house with the use of quality materials to meet the International ISPM 15 standard as required for entry into many countries Worldwide.
Many of the crates we construct are for the safe transportation of Fine Art and Antiques, however we are equally experienced in commercial consignments. Our crates are constructed sympathetically to protect the consignment but also to ensure they meet the requirements of the carrier.
Although we normally offer the complete export packing service in house, we can also supply crates only – either assembled, or knock down as preferred.
So whatever your crate making or export packing requirement, our specialist team are ready to help.
Bespoke Crate Making – from start to finish
- This model traction engine came to us for shipping to Canada, its a heavy item however has many small parts that could get broken in transit.
- First our crate maker measures the footprint then creates a bespoke base for the engine to sit on.
- Then our trained packers use specialist materials to soft wrap the engine. This protects the more fragile parts.
- The packed engine is secured to the base. Our crate maker builds bespoke sides to hold the engine in place.
- Our cratemaker then adds ends, packs out any remaining gaps, secures a top, band the crate shut for added security, then finally labels for transport.
- We can then organise the onward shipment by road, sea or air to most destinations worldwide.
