Whilst nowadays customer see our uniformed removal staff in a more practical black and our custom built removal vehicles in a more striking silver, they once were bright green! Our name always will be
Ok so we aren’t talking company colours but in the modern world green credentials are important.
As part of our plan to be Somerset’s leading removal company we recognise that reducing our impact on the environment is hugely important. This year we have plans to install bailing equipment at our Ilton depot in partnership with Perrys recycling.
Managing director Mark Chudley commented “We carry out many removals where large amounts of packing materials are used, especially when unloading inbound containers that come from abroad. In the last 10 years we have substantially reduced plastic materials in our removal services in favour of cardboard based materials. And all the time we are working hard to reduce non recyclables and avoid sending waste to landfill. This new project in partnership with Perrys will cut our waste to landfill by a further 30-40%. We are even hopeful that this new equipment may enable us to recycle plastic materials sent to us from other areas of the world. Being green is hugely important us”.
This is just one initiative we use to make our removal and shipping services more environmental friendly.
